UK malaria data available on the Health Protection Agency website

In September 2006, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) updated the malaria pages on their website to include comprehensive data from the HPA Malaria Reference Laboratory on imported malaria cases in the United Kingdom (UK).

The data tables include:

• Imported malaria cases and deaths by species from 1987 to 2005
• Imported malaria cases by species and region of travel from 2001 to 2005
• Imported malaria cases by reason for travel from 2001 to 2005
