24 November 2004: 2004/5 Hajj season health requirements
The health requirements for travellers to Saudi Arabia for the purposes of Hajj or Umra have been published by the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health . In part these include:
- All arrivals are required to produce proof of vaccination against meningococcal meningitis, serotypes A, C, W135 and Y, not more than 3 years or less than 10 days previously
- All arrivals from yellow fever endemic countries must present a certificate of yellow fever vaccination
- Pilgrims are recommended to have influenza vaccine
