Avian influenza H5N1 in Suffolk, United Kingdom

On 3 February 2007 the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) confirmed H5N1 avian influenza infection in poultry on a farm in Suffolk, United Kingdom [1].

DEFRA have completed a cull of all poultry on the farm and established a three kilometre protection zone and a ten kilometre surveillance zone around the premises.
